Stripes & One Stroke Flowers Nail Art

Sunday, May 24, 2015

Hi!

Life has been a whirlwind recently. Between AP exams, soccer, finals review, drivers' ed, and flute, it's been almost impossible for me to do my nails and compose blog posts. On top of that, I misplaced my camera cable and so I couldn't get photos from my camera to my laptop! I'm here now though, with some pretty simple nail art :)

Polishes Used:
Essie Blanc | OPI My Vampire is Buff | acrylic paints

Stripes and flowers are always a classic combination. And the one stroke technique is a lot of fun. If you've never tried it, you're missing out!!

In other news, I recently found out that I was accepted into a top-flight boarding school for science and math. It's an amazing opportunity and I've decided to attend next year, but that means I'll be living in a dorm and I'm not sure what that's going to mean in terms of nail art. I will definitely try to keep the blog running, but it might not be possible -- we'll see!

If any of you guys live in dorms, are you able to do nail art? I feel like I would annoy people with the smells of acetone and nail polish and stuff.

Thanks for reading!!
Lucy xx

  2. Congrats on your acceptance! This really is a great opportunity. I can imagine it can become difficult for the blog, but I'm sure you'll find a way to keep it running! ;) Maybe the people from your dorm will be into nail art as well. Who knows?! :D
This nail art is so gorgeous. I haven't tried the one stroke technique yet, but I'm definitely going to after seeing these beautiful flowers.

  3. So cute, love stripes and flowers together!! I totally understand, I can relate so much, my exams have been the centre of my life, as was the piano and driving, roll on summer I say!! Can't wait til its all over. Congrats on getting into that school, that's amazing!!! Don't know about the polish thing, I'd feel the same way, that I've been annoying everyone with the nail polish smell, but I suppose people get used to it? :)

  6. Gorgeous Lucy, I love the flowers! Congratulations on getting accepted too! I've never lived in a dorm, but I guess it really depends on who your roommate is and if they get annoyed easily and such - I hope you get someone who loves nail polish haha! :)

  9. Wow this nail art design is really very charming...This is a lovely tutorial and you’re right about the accent nail … the minimalist design really sets off the floral nails beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
